In any form of media, it is important to define yourself and your chosen audience. Before setting up a web log, the author must first craft the main function of his/her website. At the present time, there are blogs catering to video addicts, fan clubs and sports enthusiasts, all focusing on entries that contains updates based on the site’s alcove. This concept includes the technical output and layout of the blog and its applications. All of which are furnished based on the blog’s niche.
Due to the consistency of the website’s material, a stream of followers becomes more evident in the number of visits made in the address. This niche creates a significant segment in the market, thereby defining a blog’s audience.
Finding Your Passion
When finding a theme to work on, it is best to start with something that you are passionate about. Find something broad yet noticeable and clear-cut. Writing will be trouble-free and spontaneous if you are passionate about the theme. This will also create an impression to your readers that you know what your theme is all about. As the author, you will have a sense of proficiency in the chosen subject matter.
Explore Possibilities
Once your theme is grounded, continue to work on it and explore other possibilities. If your blog is all about fashion, you can dedicate a post about budding designers or which color of frock to use during a particular season. The potential of growing a larger and more definitive audience will develop as you make more interesting topics in accordance to your theme. Make use of tags for posts which have the same keywords and minor contents.
Caring for Your Readers
At the moment you gain a substantial amount of readers and constant visitors, make it a point to interact with them. Your virtual relationships can help materialize more ideas for your next posts. Getting your readers involved in your blog will also help define your niche by learning more about your subject. In due course, you will find it easier to write about the theme you have chosen and at the same time, gain more readers. In being distinctive to your theme and audience, you will also soon define your expertise in being a blogger.

This is what makes so successful the MFA sites, they must be targeted if not they will not succeed. We can use this to make our blogs more targeted, finding our “Niche” and we may increase our targeted visitors from the search engines.

Great point,I have never written a blog so far,but I read and responsed many blogs, they consisted of all kinds of subjects and themes.Most of them were significant and informative,they aimed at drawing readers’ attention and their feedbacks.After reading this blog, I definitely recognized the important process of writting a blog and how to communicate with commenters to exchange own idea about topics. Picking your niche is crucial when you begin to set up your site, I highly suggest that you pick it before you do anything else such as setting up a domain or choosing your hosting.
Regard your question, I think by answering your self these 3 simple questions will help you define the right niche for your omglaw blog and these are;
1) What do I usually talk about in my blog?
2) Which subject are my topics most related to?
3) What kind of audience do I have?
