5 Reasons to Use WordPress as Your Blog System

WordPress is one of the most popular and widely used blog hosts on the Internet. Recent studies show that over 1% of websites are hosted by WordPress and the number of its blogs keeps on increasing everyday. WordPress is user-friendly and offers clear instructions for new and veteran bloggers alike. The following are five reasons why it is a good idea to start a WordPress blog:

1. WordPress has an easy-to-navigate admin interface. Starting a blog should be hassle-free. With WordPress, first-time bloggers would not have a hard time figuring out the steps on how to launch and customize their blog pages. Your basic needs are all there for you to see. Options are presented in an orderly and logical manner while you could see the changes that you make immediately. WordPress is efficient and time-saving.

You could then focus all your energy on constructing informative, creative, up-to-date, and persuasive blog entries. As soon as your blog page is created, WordPress immediately makes it available for Internet users around the world and generates visitors for you.

2. WordPress is SEO ready. WordPress is a blog host that automatically makes your pages search-engine friendly. WordPress blogs have higher readership and reaches a larger audience in most market segments around the world compared to blogs managed by other hosts. It has the function to correlate related blogs or posts with each other so that visitors of other blogs with a similar theme as yours are easily driven towards your blog.

3. WordPress is content-friendly. A web owner has stated that WordPress “thinks like a writer.” Posting has been made very easy through the provision of all the tools every writer needs. It does not confuse you with all unnecessary buttons in the blog post interface. WordPress also makes it easier for writers to categorize their posts and determine whether the copy is already running too long.

4. WordPress offers the best designs and customization options. WordPress makes even the most novice bloggers feel like an expert in web design. With easy-to-follow steps on customizing your blog according to your taste, anyone could figure out how to make their blogs look professional and serve whatever purpose the blog was created for. The blog host also has a live preview function, which allows you to view changes as you apply them. It saves effort and time and makes it a pleasant experience to modify your blog design from time to time.

5. WordPress is an open source. WordPress is a program that is for free yet gives bloggers the best service they could ask for. It is basic, simple, and efficient. It honors web and typographic standards under XHTML. There is no need for you to install plug-ins to convert your text to XHTML as this is done automatically in WordPress.

In essence, WordPress’ popularity and effectiveness is anchored to the fact that it spares you the hassle of worrying about technicalities and just lets you write your content as you wish and publish it in the easiest possible way.

WordPress is by far the most-superior blogging platform. Although the interface isn’t initially as easy to use as say, Blogger, there isn’t that much of a learning curve. The SEO readiness is one of the biggest perks of blogging with WordPress, in my opinion, so I’m glad that you listed it as one of your reasons to use WordPress. Great post!

I personally think wprdpress is not ready with SEO, i will say it taking an example with your blog.

Seriously, it truly is the best blogging platform because it can get customized so easily and also because of the large amount of people using it.

  16. I can’t say all the good blogs are using WordPress, because there are some out there who are using Blogger, but the ones I like, they all use WordPress. WP is the best software out there. I can’t believe it beating Google’s own software.

I wouldn’t use any other platform other that WordPress. Now that 2.7 is out there are so many changes that make it even better. I especially like the latest feature that allows your to select a post and make it ‘sticky’ which means that the post of your choice will remain on your front page as your ‘featured’ post for as long as you choose.

Another reason that I would like to add for using wordpress is the beautiful INTERNAL LINK STRUCTURE achieved in wordpress by use of some plugins such as breadcrumb navigation, related posts plugin, sitemap plugin etc.
