Link Building With News, Blogs, and Feeds

Because of the way search engines operate, it is essential to build links to your website or blog. When doing searches, search engines hunt through the internet and rank the results based upon which sites have the most links to them. So, if your site has a great number of quality links pointing to it, your site will be more likely to come up higher on the results page when someone does a web search for terms relating to your site topic.

Link building isn’t difficult. But, it is something a site owner should do carefully. This is because it isn’t wise to add links to just any other site to your website-some links will devalue your website. Continue to read this article »

How to utilize backlinks to increase your site’s popularity

Backlinks

In the on-going struggle to get websites noticed, search engines play a powerful role. The strength of a website’s ranking on a search engine results page will have much to do with the amount of new traffic it receives. One factor that weighs heavily in the deciding of a site’s rank is backlinks.

When registering a domain, owners have the option of registering for one, two, five, or ten years, depending on the circumstances. Websites that have registered their domain names farther into the future show that they intend to be around for awhile, thus upping their credibility and minimizing the chances that they are spam. Social Bookmarking sites work by allowing you to store your favorite websites, or your bookmarks, with other people. Social bookmarking sites are quickly indexed by Google and other search engines and they provide backlinks back to your site. This helps to provide faster indexing. There are many different Social Bookmarking sites you can use, thought the three that I think work the best are Digg, Stumbleupon and del.icio.us. Continue to read this article »
